Windsurfing in Autumn/ Early Winter:
This season - the months of October - November - December provides great windsurfing conditions on the Israeli Mediterranean shores. It's a great time to start windsurfing and to work on improving your skills.
Conditions can vary from side-shore to off-shore winds with flat to choppy waters, and even some winter storms with good wave riding in some spots. Weather is usually pleasant - warm water and clear blue skies.

Lessons:
The lessons take place on the beautiful beach of Maagan Michael, next to the southernmost tip of the Carmel mountain, near Zichron Yaakov.
The Yamia - surfing and sailing school - is located between a long sandy beach and a pond with calm waters.
The lesson structure will make your windsurfing/ surfing experince enjoyable and effortless, by combining both learning and practice. Lessons average around two hours, allowing for unhurried practice and learning. No need to check your watch...progress is not measured in minutes.
Windsurfing - The pond is used for all basic learning. Conditions in the pond are always good - flat water, an enclosed area and a sea breeze, which is usually lighter than out in the open sea.
Surfing - The shallow water and sandy-bottomed beach provide great conditions for beginners who are learning and practicing. Advanced surfers can find more challenging spots nearby, depending on surf conditions.

Kids Programs:
The Yamia offers regular group instruction for kids. Various water sports are practiced – surfing, windsurfing, sailing and more. Try them all and become a true “water man"...or "water girl"!
During the school year:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
Friday - 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Summer holiday - July & August:
Surfing and windsurfing courses: Sunday - wednesday - 8:30am - 1:00pm
Evening practice: Sunday - Thursday - 5:00 - 7:00pm
Windsurfing and surfing trip - "The Search": A journey to the best windsurfing spot in Israel - Bat Galim beach in Haifa - and to other interesting windsurfing and surfing spots.
Surfing/ windsurfing trips overseas (Fuerteventura, Canary islands).

Private (1-3 people) or group lessons are available by appointment. The average lesson lasts up to two hours.
Practice
Practice is an important part of your progress, allowing you to perfect what you have learned.
A combination of lessons and practice is the ideal route to success.
